Design for Print
My field of expertise is primarily in design for print. Be it a 40 page brochure, a tri-fold leaflet or business stationery – I know all there is to know about designing and preparing a document for print, to achieve a professional look and feel. I also design for exhibitions, signage, vehicles and large scale posters, always ensuring the highest quality is achieved and using the best companies and their expertise for the production.
Design for Branding
The best thing about my job is meeting with clients and finding out exactly what makes them tick, what makes them unique, and then transfer that into designing a brand for them that shows off their uniqueness! The most important thing is to really listen and understand what a logo needs to do for that client, considering where it will appear and the overall style of a brand that will incorporate that logo.
Design for Screen
While not being a dedicated web developer, (my background originates in design for print!) I can still apply my knowledge and expertise to designing for screen, from designing the appearance and functionality of a website through to specific content for screen. I work closely with web developers who have the expertise to implement my designs, which leaves the creativity to me without having to worry about how to make it happen!
About Me
I live in the far west of Cornwall and have been in Graphic Design since 1998. I have many years of experience both as a freelancer and working in a studio. I love to help people and am a natural problem solver and apply this attitude to my work. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a project come to fruition and seeing my customers really benefiting from my services.
I like to build good relationships with my customers, and love to work in a collaborative way when necessary. First and foremost is listening to my clients and interpreting their stories and aspirations, and finding a solution that works well for them. I am reliable, consicentious and consistent, and always strive to deliver on or before a deadline. I’ve not been late yet (I’m an excellent time keeper!).
